| NOTE: This report is based off reactions from forumites in the AEF community.
While I sit here and try find something constructive to say about player reactions in the AEF which does not consist of flame, let me quickly make a brief overview of what this week’s release encompassed.
This release started with the war meter finally hitting 100% and allowing players to defeat the O-dokuro head war boss (just like the O-dokuro from last week… but with an extra word in its name) and defeat Kitsune, putting an end to the Yokai quest chain.
Not much can be said about the release of Kitsune… that is, anything that relates to the actual release of the game content. Despite the valiant attempts of the ArchKnights at several points to intervene and try break up disputes, there is enough flame in this week’s Design Notes thread to rival the Fire War (I wasn’t there to witness it in DF, but apparently it’s huge) and give it a run for its money. The most frequent response to Kitsune was in regards to the item drops and their member vs. non-member ratio. It’s more of the usual arguments and rebuttals… and this is even before Kitsune is released for non-members next week. Sadly, Kitsune’s new “coding” hasn’t won over the players much, only a handful admit that Kitsune is a hard kill, while others merely believe he is disappointing due to his similarities to the spider found during the Mobius chain.
But not everything was doom and gloom this week. Despite some players not liking the “comical” array of weapons from Quibble (Personally, only one was comical in my opinion), Quibble’s shop was well received. It’s a good thing most of the players have acknowledged the fact that Quibble is an AC item seller so we didn’t have too many repeats of the AC vs. gold item debates either.
The Akiba house items haven’t received much attention this week, thanks to the predominant focus on Kitsune, but I must say, there are a lot of free player sushi house items to decorate your house with :D Similarly, no one is really talking about the war boss and his drops…
That’s about it for this week, folks. Next week will be amazing because Darkovia is going to be released. I may be biased, but you all know Darkovia is a sure-win favourite ;) | |

| Although Nightbane is very educated, most Chaos Beasts aren't, but he's not human enough to be a LoC. | |
